Before Explaining a Stock Move, Align These Three Clocks

Original SignalSage diagram with the real purple logo and three navy columns on pale blue: Quote, as-of time and timezone; Chart, visible dates and bar interval; Document, publication, event and reporting period. Checks include the delay notice, actual chart axis, preview limits and original source. A footnote dates the public web demo to October23,2026 and notes that latest candles are hidden. Personal research checks; no cause, edge or return claim.

A quote, a chart and a company document can sit on one screen while describing different times. Before connecting a price move to a headline, align the quote timestamp, the visible chart window and the document timeline. This short workflow uses actual public MerlaTech web screens captured on October 23, 2026. The interface is labeled SignalAnalytic; it is not a recording of the mobile app.

Clock 1: read the quote timestamp

Start with the symbol, market and the as-of line beside the quote. In our CNXC page capture, the interface labels the latest available quote October 22, 2026, 16:00 ET and warns that prices may be delayed. That is a record of what the interface displayed, not independent validation of the market price. The day you open the page is not automatically the quote date. Keep the displayed timezone with your note.

Clock 2: read the visible chart window

Next open Chart and inspect both the selected bar interval and the dates actually visible on the axis. The public view we checked was labeled Historical preview, with the latest candles hidden. Its newest visible candle therefore should not be assumed to match the latest quote above it. The 1D and 1H controls select different bar intervals; switching them does not remove the preview restriction or prove that current candles are available. The captured hourly view also states that Smart Money Volume only supports the daily chart. Read each control and limitation together.

Clock 3: separate publication, event and reporting period

Open News to identify the publisher and displayed date, then read the original source before explaining a move. A date-only listing is not an exact release timestamp, and matching calendar dates alone do not establish causation. In Company, check the period selector before interpreting a financial panel: our captured Revenue Breakdown controls show Annual and FY2025. That is a different basis from an October 2026 quote, not evidence of a fresh quarterly result.

Use the filing for the financial question

Investor.gov explains that EDGAR provides public access to corporate filings. Its guide distinguishes annual Form 10-K reports, quarterly Form 10-Q reports and current Form 8-K disclosures. Its reading guide describes financial statements, management discussion and risk information. Use the relevant original filing to check the period and measure behind a claim. The presence of a Company or News tab does not establish that every linked figure has already been reconciled with that filing.

Write a comparison you can revisit

Keep one compact research note: symbol; quote as-of time and timezone; bar interval and visible end date; original-source publication time, event date and reporting period; and any access limitation. Leave an unavailable field unknown. These are suggested personal checks, not a new in-app note feature. Aligning dates makes a comparison interpretable; it does not prove a cause, a trading edge or a future return.

Continue the research

SignalSage by MerlaTech supports US Stock Research / AI Stock Analysis. The download hub offers iPhone and Android options. English interface; some features require in-app purchases or subscriptions. Web and mobile layouts and access can differ. The demo records the public preview available at capture time; no paywall or access restriction was bypassed. Original motion graphics and music; AI-assisted writing and synthetic English narration. Educational use, not personalized investment advice.
